The Foundation accepts applications from qualified investigators studying diseases of the esophagus, lung, and breast.
Eligibility
Principal Investigators must hold one of the following credentials: MD (attending, resident, or fellow), PhD, ARNP, or PA.
Applicants must be currently treating patients with esophageal disease at Virginia Mason, University of Washington, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, or Swedish Providence.

Priority is given to projects with potential to leverage additional sources of funding and innovative clinical research with direct patient benefit.

- Introduction with background and clinical significance
- Defined hypothesis and specific aims
- Literature review with annotated bibliography
- Methods and study design
- Study protocol (if applicable)

- Letter of pre-approval from program director (if requesting indirect costs)
- Letter of support from bench science mentor (for bench science proposals)
